From my first day at Loaded Gun Customs, I've heard Kevin stress the importance of proper riding gear to motorcyclists of all skill levels. It wasn't until I met Isle of Man racer Conor Cummins at Barber Vintage Festival last year that I really got it. During the 2010 Isle of Man TT race, Conor crashed at a speed of nearly 150mph. Because of the gear he was wearing, he was able to make a relatively quick recovery and hasn't let it put a damper on his racing career.
David Frost, a Portland, OR based photographer is also an advocate for safe riding. He currently has a great photo show on display at See See Motorcycles and Coffee in Portland that documents motorcyclists who have been involved in accidents but still continue to have a passion for riding. His blog features riders from all walks of life who wish to share their stories. Definitely worth taking some time to read through the stories and listen to the interviews.
